When it comes to makeup, my go-to brands are Maybelline, Rimmel and Bourjois. I’ve never really branched out, maybe because I believed the myth that more expensive makeup is better quality. Even though the three aren’t that expensive, they still cost enough to want to make the most of 3 for 2 offers. Today I made the decision to branch out, and I’m really happy I did.
Revolution is my new favourite makeup brand, recently recommended to me by one of my friends. I’d seen the products in Superdrug before, but had never been brave enough to try it because it was so cheap. Turns out, it’s great quality! Today I finished my Christmas shopping and treated myself to four Revolution makeup products.
Left: Re-loaded Visionary palette, £4 Superdrug.
Right: Reloaded Newtrals 2, £4 from Superdrug.
‘Unicorns Heart’ rainbow highlighter, £4.99 from Superdrug:
It’s so shimmery and gorgeous, and I can’t wait to try it!
Pro Fix Illuminating Fixing Spray, £5 from Superdrug:
And if you’re wondering, here’s the candle featured in the first image (price depends on retailer, but I bought from Paperchase at £15):
It smells absolutely divine and I’ll definitely be buying a new one when it runs out. Let me know your thoughts on Revolution and any candle recommendations in the comments!
